Singer Billy Gilman married his partner Anthony Carbone over the weekend in Rhode Island.
The one-time runner-up on The Voice chose a large horse farm to host more than 100 friends and family for the Aug. 23 ceremony.
In 2016, he competed on Season 11 of The Voice, ultimately losing to Sundance Head.

Gilman — a Rhode Island native — and Carbone first shared their news with People. A curated music and food selection were highlights of the reception, and his longtime friend officiated the ceremony.
The pair met at a bar on the night before Thanksgiving 2022, with both men agreeing they hit it off. In fact the 36-year-old Gilman says it “hit me over the head like a hammer,” so he pursued a date.
They became engaged on Sept. 24 after a Pam Tillis concert. Carbone dropped to bended knee in the pouring rain after the show. “I was sobbing, but he couldn’t tell with the rain,” Gilman tells the magazine.
Musically, Gilman has not recorded an album in nearly two decades, but he’s released several singles. Most recently, he re-recorded “One Voice” with a capella group Home Free.
At the end of 2023, he released an Americana song called “Delta Queen” that was praised by critics.
