Kane Brown was bullied as a kid — he’s explained in past interviews that he was raised by a single mother, and they didn’t have much money, so bullies targeted him for various reasons.

Now a father of three children of his own, Brown has a big heart for young people, especially those he can relate to. So when he saw a boy holding up a sign that read, “Bullied for the color of my skin! I just want a hug from Kane Brown,” at one of his recent concerts, he had to pause.
