Brad Paisley‘s wife, actor Kimberly Williams-Paisley, celebrated her 53rd birthday on Saturday (Sept. 14.) To celebrate, the singer shared a sweet, silly birthday message on Instagram, alongside a photo of Kimberly posing with the couple’s dog.
“Been busy celebrating the most amazing [Kimberly Williams-Paisley]’s birthday, so just getting around to posting this officially approved photo,” Paisley joked, as he shared his birthday message late in the day on Saturday.
“Also, the following statements are officially approved as well: That she is a gift to this earth. And I am the luckiest man alive,” the singer continued. “And she is the heart and soul of this family. And the brains. And of course the beauty.
“Seriously, though, happy birthday to the best person I’ve ever know. I love you,” Paisley concluded his post.
“Official Comment: Thanks for making my birthday so sweet!” Williams-Paisley replied in the comments section.
Williams-Paisley also marked her birthday on social media, posting a montage of photos of herself chowing down on a cupcake.
“I am so grateful for another year around the sun, feeling all that it means to be ALIVE,” she wrote.
Paisley and his wife first met when he asked her to be in the music video for his song, “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” in 2001. They got engaged the following year, and tied the knot in March 2003. They are parents to two boys, Huck and Jasper, who were born in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
In recent weeks, Wiliams-Paisley has been opening up about a surgery she underwent this summer to address laryngeal nerve damage. She said that, about two years ago, she lost her voice in an “embarrassing & scary” moment onstage for her annual Alzheimer’s fundraiser in Nashville. “It never quite came back,” she continued, saying it had been “a challenging couple of years” as she worked to finally identify the issue.

The surgery left her with a scar on her neck, and since publicly revealing her diagnosis, she’s shared photos of herself working neck scarves into her wardrobe in order to protect her scar from sun damage.
Wiliams-Paisley also thanked fans for supporting her as she shared about a “vulnerable” personal challenge, admitting that she’d been dealing with “shame & self-loathing” and processing “old emotional wounds” as she adapted to life without the ability to freely use her voice.
In other news, Paisley and his wife recently opened up a second location of The Store, their non-profit free grocery store, which provides a shopping experience with dignity for individuals and families in Nashville who are facing food insecurity.
